The black rhino is a common type of rhino.  It has become very rare.  It is nearly extinct because people are hunting them for their horns. It has the body of a big dog. It's horns are pointed at the top and sticks out from the middle of its nose.

  2. I heard about the black rhino on the radio today - they were saying their horns are sold for $65 000 per kilogram! People are working hard to protect them, I hope they are successful. Is this your favourite animal, Crichton?

  3. Hi there, my name is shiah and I am a student at Ohaeawai primary School. I really like your picture of a black rhino. It made me think about rhinos on tv. Have you thought about making a video of a rhino at the zoo? If you would like to view my learning, my blog is http://room5and6ohaeawai.blogspot.com/
